Diving is a family activity that anybody older than 8 can enjoy. You don’t have to be fit or an expert to enjoy it. But, if you have any particular condition that you think might prevent you from diving, we suggest you contact your doctor first.
We carry emergency Oxygen kits on the boat, and our instructors are O2 trained because your safety is our first priority. Also, we take small groups to make sure we can give our attention to everyone.
Our price includes the classroom sessions, ebook, pool training, and your open water dives at the Nicoya Peninsula. The open water diver course fee also includes the rental of the BCD, tanks, weights, wetsuit, regulator system, air fills, and certification!
In the course, you will complete classroom sessions, a written test, a pool session, and 4 open water dives. The number of training sessions required will depend on your comfort level. We work at your own pace to make sure you make the most of the course and understand what you are doing.
Yes. We certify through SSI and PADI, which are accredited by the WRSTC, and they are backed by worldwide accreditation for life.
No, your certification lasts for a lifetime. But if you stay inactive for longer than 12 months, we strongly recommend that you take a refresher course.
This is the normal effect of water pressure pressing in on your ears, so don’t worry, you’ll be fine, assuming you have no irregularities in your ears and sinuses. Fortunately, our bodies are designed to adjust for pressure changes in our ears – you just need to learn how. If you have no difficulties adjusting to air pressure during flying, you'll probably experience no problem learning to adjust to water pressure while diving.
